HVAC
HVAC requests cover furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork. Note the symptom (not cooling, short-cycling, strange noise), your system’s age if you know it, and whether you want a repair quote, a replacement quote, or both.
What you can request
- AC not cooling — diagnosis and repair
- Furnace or heater repair
- Seasonal tune-up and maintenance
- Full system replacement (AC, furnace, heat pump)
- Ductless mini-split installation
- Thermostat upgrade and smart thermostat install
- Duct cleaning and sealing
Popular projects
AC tune-up before summer
A pre-season check catches refrigerant and capacitor issues before the first heat wave.
Replace an aging system
Compare efficiency ratings, rebates, and installation quotes side by side.
Add a mini-split to one room
Heat and cool a garage, addition, or bonus room without extending ductwork.
When repair stops making sense
The common rule: multiply the repair cost by the system’s age in years — if it exceeds the price of a new unit, replace. Systems past 12–15 years or needing refrigerant that’s being phased out usually aren’t worth major repairs. Ask in your request for both a repair and a replacement quote so you can decide with real numbers.
